March 2013

Lots of show and tell this month.  This is Peggy's version of a MSQC's quilt from their youtube tutorial.  I love the colors.
And here is Peggy's Easy Street.  She is still deciding on what colors to use on the border and the number of borders.
This beautiful little Easter dress is one of two Peggy is making for her granddaughters.  They sure are lucky to have Peggy for they grandmother!
Talking about grandmother's, this little cutie is Rhonda's grandson Griffon.  Too adorable!
This is one of Rhonda's finishes-a Connecting Threads pattern.  So cute.

This is my Snowman Quilt finished.
And this is my Thimbleberries Bird House quilt finished after about 10 years.  I am trying to finish one WIP a month.
 Sheree's Snowman quilt.
Another old WIP I finished since last quilt club.

This is my Easy Street quilt.  (no picture from quilt club show and tell, so a picture from my deck.)

Deb's is quilted and waiting to be bound.  We will probably see hers next month!  Rhonda's is almost finished too.
This is Bonnie Hunter's 4th of July pattern done in fall prints for a charity to raffle, that I made.
And another MSQC table topper I made from their youtube tutorials.
Sheree's jelly roll quilt  with sashing...

And Rhonda's version of the same quilt without the sashing.

Quilt club members were plagued with illness again; we had a small group.  Rhonda, Peggy, Deb, Pam and Sheree were all able to make it.  We all worked on various projects and ate wonderful food.  We had Deb's beef barbecue,  strawberry spinach salad, Sheree's dip and corn chips, drinks and birthday cupcakes.  I think we were celebrating quite a few birthdays this month for both February and March.

We chose a quilt pattern to make for our Special Olympics project.  I resized the quilt and sent a picture of it to everyone for approval.  It is called Twisting With the Stars.  Here is the EQ7 version resized to 72 x 84.  I am sure there will be more changes to it as we begin working with it, but this is a start.

I hope everyone will be able to make it next month, April 27th!

Quilt club was fun this month. We all worked on various projects. I decided to work on my hexagon quilt that will be done and quilted all by hand. Fell in love with Bonnie's quilt so I am making my version of it in patriotic colors. Finished my quilt for CMN and it will start being raffled off today for that charity. Have to work fast and finish the second dress so the twins will have them for Easter. Gabby and I will work on her quilt and maybe she will bring it to the next quilt club for show and tell if she gets it finished.
