We had a fabulous day Saturday! Thank you for hosting us Patty. Your home and gardens are lovely. Even the weather cooperated.
We met at Patty's-Rhonda, Sue, Peggy,Patty and I. We got a tour of Patty's quilts and her sewing room. She has quilts everywhere-a sign of a true quilter.
We sat at her table and conversed. (Rhonda said she will send an email out about some of our conversations.) Then we ate delicious sandwiches and salad that Patty brought in from Panera. She had tea, wine and other beverages. She also had delicious looking pastries but I think everyone was too full to eat those. I don't think her husband was too disappointed to find there were leftovers for him!
After we ate, we did a little bit of show and tell.
Sue is working on a memory quilt. It is a piece of art!
Patty finished a quilt top that she has been working on for two years, off and on.
I made a baby halloween quilt. This had a minky backing and I loved that.
I see Sue's name on this. We knew she was artistic-wow! She has some amazing talents.
From Sue-adorable.
Is this Sue's newest family member with her husband?
And Rhonda's wedding quilt for her niece. This was a disappearing nine patch with a border.
I posted a panorama photo on facebook for anyone who may be interested. It captures the beautiful venue.
Rhonda gave us some teasers for our next group project. She passed around a brown paper bag and told us to choose an object from the bag. This determined our main color for our project. She gave us another clue-think Jamestown Landing.

This may be more fun than a Bonnie Hunter quilt! Thank you Rhonda!
Next meeting is September 22 back at Rhonda's house where we will get a reveal of some more of our group project!
Have a great rest of the summer!

Carrie made some Cloverleaf cookies for our meeting too!

Sue sent me some additional pictures-I guess she made these? Is that a bobbin necklace?

And this is what our meeting was all about! Here are our medallion quilts. They are beautiful!
