June 2013

We made a lot of progress on our Special Olympics quilt today.  We even created a mystery block!  Rhonda, Peggy, Cathy, Linda and I sewed (and ripped) to get the top finished.  Now for the borders.  We are using the bonus triangles for part of the border.

And now for show and tell!  Here is Peggy's Easy Street-ready to be quilted.
Cathy's baby quilt made with tumblers.

Cathy's Strip Twist-she made two extra long twins-love the movement in this.

Deb's Patriotic quilt for her nephew-just wow!
Peggy's Jared Takes a Wife quilt-another one of hers ready for the quilting frame.

These are my patriotic table runners.  I made five of them.  (Thanks for holding them for the pictures Cathy!)

Peggy has been very busy this month.  Here is her Magic Square quilt made with directions from Missouri Star Quilt Company.

A pretty baby quilt Peggy made with her scraps.

Another Bonnie Hunter quilt that Peggy made.  I love Bricks and Stepping stones in this colorway.
Rhonda made this cute little bag this month.  She used the vinyl iron on to make the interior fabric so it is waterproof.  How cute is this?

This is Peggy's bag that she made a while ago.  I think it is so cute and I know I didn't have a picture of it from before.

This t-shirt quilt Rhonda made for her niece is just beautiful!  We can't wait to hear what her reaction is when her niece gets it.

The back is just as cool as the front.

We are getting together again 7/20/13 to work on the charity quilt for July and 8/3/13 to make sure we get it finished in time.  If we can get pictures of all the Special Olympic's quilts we have made, I would like to make a special blog posting just for them.  Then we can add to it each year.

Have a wonderful Independence Day!
